Leslie Patricia Clark passed away on Friday June 2, 2000 at Goleta Valley Hospital in Goleta, California due to complications to diabetes, a battle bravely fought for 28 years.

She was born in Bakersfield California on December 9, 1951 to Edward Wayne and Yolande "Pat" Clark.

After graduating from West High School in Bakersfield, she attended the College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho where she received her BA in Education. She obtained her California Teachers Certification at Lone Mountain College in San Francisco.

Her true advocation, however was fighting diabetes and educating others about the disease. She loved friends, children, travel and Santa Barbara. She was devoted to her mother and was close to her; they took care of each other for many years.

Leslie is proceeded in death by her father and is survived by her mother Pat, her brother Norris, her sister-in-law Angie, and her nephews Sean and Edward Clark, all of Kennewick, Washington.

Finally she is free of her body which betrayed her so often. It would be her wish that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
