On Monday August 23, 2021 Connie Jean Morton-Martell devoted Mom and Nana, passed away at the age of 68 in the loving presence of her son, Brian and daughter, Nichole.

Connie was born on October 1, 1952 in Bakersfield, California to Ralph and Thelma Morton. After graduating from West High School in 1970 Connie met and married Franky Thomasy, Connie and Frank were blessed , aqdding two more children to their blended family. Professionally Connie had a successful career out Kern Insurance Associates in Bakersfield for 25 years

in 2001, Connie's  adventurous spirit led her to Minnesota where she met and married Tony Martell, Who she would come to consider the love of her life. Tony and connie we're married on New Year's Eve, 2002. tragically, Connie would become a widow in 2003 when Tony succumb to cancer

Connie went on to make lifelong friends during her time in Minnesota. There, she worked at Haley Oil and quickly became well known for her kind heart and eagerness to help wherever she could

In 2018, Connie retired and made the decision to relocate to Oklahoma to be closer to her sister, Vicky Brand. During this time she honored her Native American heritage by becoming a member of the Cherokee Nation.

Connie's greatest pride was in her family finding great joy in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a very loving outgoing vivacious and caring person, devoted mother and friend, always thinking of others. She love to dance and garden as well as had a passion for crocheting and would share her creations with family and friends. Everyone knew that Connie knew that her fur babies play second fiddle only to her children and grandchildren. Some family and friends would joked that maybe, Just maybe, they played a close second to her pets.

Connies beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children; Brian (and Michelle) Thomasy, Nichole (and Tim) Hague, Frank Thomasy, Teresa (and Geary) Galfursha. Tony (and Vicki) Thomasy, Anna Martell, Alex Martell, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren ( with more on the way) Sisters, Vicki Morton Brand, Cathie ( and Richard) Davis, Rima (and Bob) Fast; brothers Alan (and Debra) Morton, Robert (and Elma) Artounian; step mother Anna Morton, special friends Todd (and Judy) Haley

There will be a celebration of life in Bakersfield, CA on Sunday September 26, 2021 at 3:00pm  at the Stockdale Country Club  on 7001 Stockdale Hwy Bakersfield, Ca 93309

A second celenratuon of life will be held  in Elbow Lake, MN on Saturday October 9th, 2021 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at 117 Central Avenue N 95637

in Fergus Falls, Minnesota dates and times to be announced
