It is amazing how fast 40 years has gone. Actually 41 for me since I graduated after my junior year. I went to BC for 2 years and then transferred to CSUB and graduated in 1974 with my BSN. I completed my MSN-Ed at Regis University. I worked in many different fields of nursing and about 30 years ago found I loved oncology nursing. In this specialty, I have been an infusion nurse, clinical research coordinator, manager and director. I currently am manager of oncology clinical nurse educators for a bio oncology company, traveling around the US providing education to nurses, NPs, PAs and physicians. Sometimes I think about retiring, but I really am enjoying what I do for now.
Retired- April 2015. Living in San Luis Obispo. Trying to improve my golf game!!! This is harder than work!

I was married to Jim Checchi for 22 years, but like many young marriages, found we had grown in different directions and divorced. We remain good friends and have many good memories from our marriage and parenting our only daughter, Lisa. I am now married to Jim Boone and we live between our two homes, one at Lake Nacimiento and one at Pismo Beach.

For fun we do water sports, bass fish, and golf. I am not really good at any of them, but sure have fun anyway. Between us, we have four grown daughters and four rapidly growing grandchildren. Dan, Chelsy, and Caitlyn live in Bakersfield and Logan lives in Portland, OR.

Both of our parents still live in Bakersfield and so we are still connected to good ole "Bako". I look forward to seeing many of you at the "40th" reunion.

We have moved to Pinehurst, NC. Both of my parents passed in January. After caring for them, I realized we didn't want to be across country from my daughter. We are slowly getting settled and acclimated to the weather. After living on the California Coast for 10 years, we have not been exposed to the heat of summers. The golfing is great with unlimited access to many different courses. We have joined Pinehurst Country Club which gives us access to the nine 18-hole courses as well as the 9-hole short course known as "The Cradle". The people are very friendly here and the area is just beautiful. Hopefully will make it back to Cali for the reunion.

There are no words to express my sorrow for the loss of Debbie. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. Have many fond memories of her from both Jr. High and West High. Big year for grandson Logan Hardt. In June graduated from Oregon State University School of Engineering and in July married his love , Krista Collins-Hardt. Grandmother ( Pam) and Mother ( Lisa Checchi-Hardt) wonder where the years have gone!!!!!!
